Inspired by a walk at John Forrest National Park, in Western Australia, characterizing the Australian bushscape and environment – dry and harsh but full of surprises on close inspection. One can imagine the resilience and malleability personified by the flora and fauna that are found in its raw and wild bushscape.

A slice of history for first-time visitors: A former railway line, known as the Eastern Railway, dissected and passed through the park from the 1890s until it was decommissioned and removed in 1966. Today, Swan View Tunnel remains as part of the park’s heritage trail.
